Product Description

A great opportunty to buy a set of high-back and low-back ‘Manhattan’ reclining armchairs and footstool designed by George Fejer and Eric Phamphilon c.1961 for Guy Rogers of Liverpool.  One owner from new in 1961.  The frames have been lightly restored and oil finished and present beautifully – wonderful rich colour and grain and only light signs of wear with new webbing to seat bases.  The chairs recline to three diferent positions and are super comfy –  they are sold as seen complete with original Harris tweed cushions that do have light stains, the odd split and wear as you’d expect for 50+ years old.  They are usable as is (but do not meet current fire regs) so we can provide a bespoke upholstery service for these chairs –  please contact us to discuss your requirements.  Please see SOLD section of our website for previous examples.

75cm width (at widest point of arms) x 69cm depth x 80cm and 92cm height / height to seat 39cm.  Stool 54cm width x 41cm depth x 32cm height.
