Robin Day Interplan chest of drawers c.1954

Category: .

Product Description

An exceptionally rare and fabulous design by Robin Day for Hille c.1954. The modular ‘Interplan’ range was designed by Day in 1954 and continued in production until the very early 60’s – it included a wide range of cabinets / sideboards and chests that could be used together or individually. Highly collectable and rarely available this unit ‘F’ chest of drawers is finished in a striking combination of materials – solid Mahogany carcass and Ash veneered drawer fronts with projecting brass handles and finished with gently tapering beech legs.

In excellent restored condition – wonderful rich depth of colour and grain throughout with only light signs of age and wear –  a fantastic piece, try and find another.  Matching unit ‘N’ with 2 sliding doors also available.

76cm (height) x 91.5cm (length) x 45.5cm (depth)
