A striking and petite chest of three drawers in a pale honey coloured oak with solid beech turned legs by Stag Cabinet Company c.1963. Normally attributed to John and Sylvia Reid this was in fact the first in house design by Stag following the couples depature as design consultants that same year. However the influence of the Reids’ is very clear to see in both the range of modular pieces available (over 30), the proportions and detailing, in particular the shadow gap to the front face – its a wonderful design.
Fully restored and presents beautifully with just the odd tiny ding and mark. One of my personel favourite pieces by Stag that is becoming scarce and rightly collectable. Lovely honey coloured oak with the striking solid oak angular handles and gently tapered and turned solid beech legs.
75.5cm wide x 43cm depth x 70cm high
Internal drawers measure – 1 x 70cm wide x 36.5cm depth x 8cm high and 2 larger are 13cm high.
