A wonderful example of a mid 1950’s British wingback chair – a model 406 manufactured by G-Plan c.1956 (gold stamp to underside of frame) produced until c.1961 and a model 405 footstool – a rare opportunity to get a matching set. The price includes fully restored beech legs, all new foam and 100% wool upholstery as per the green chair pictured. Wonderful styling and very comfortable with solid beech splayed legs and a sprung seat and back. The footstool is pocket sprung and very generously proportioned the solid beech legs will be stripped and refinished as per the chair.
