A wonderful example of a mid 1950’s British wingback chair – a model 406 manufactured by G-Plan c.1956 produced until c.1961 and a model 405 footstool – a rare opportunity to get a matching set. Fully restored and finished in a richly textured teal blue 100% wool from bute fabrics with newly restored beech legs. Wonderful styling and very comfortable with solid beech splayed legs and a sprung seat and back. The footstool is pocket sprung and very generously proportioned an incredibly comfortable combo.
80cm (width) x 85cm (depth) at widest point. Seat measures 60cm at the front tapering to 40cm at the back. Height to seat is 42cm, height to top of back is 94cm.
Footstool is 56cm (width) x 54cm (depth) x 40cm (height)
